About Me
I was born in Tuscany in 1992, starting my career at a young age as a writer. I wrote my first fantasy novel, Liberando Lastlend, when I was 13 years old and I published it in 2006.
From 2009 to 2013 I have been the screenwriter, director, and editor of all the projects made by Helix Pictures, an independent production that promotes Tuscany through video and storytelling.
In 2014 I graduated with summa cum laude in Digital Arts from La Sapienza University of Rome.
In 2015 I received a scholarship and residency at Fabrica, Benetton's research center. Here I started dealing with documentaries, discovering that often reality can be more surprising than imagination. In the 3 years I have spent there, I filmed the protests in Macedonia during the Color Revolution (Chromoskopje, documentary installation part of MoCa, Museum of Contemporary Art, Skopje in 2018), the art of the American photographer Drew Nikonowicz (Notes from Anywhere, Finalist at London International Documentary Film Festival in 2017) and started the Damanhur spiritual community project (The Choice of Staying, Winner of Best European Cinematographer in Jharkhand International Film Festival and Award in 2020).
Since 2019 I am a freelance documentary maker based between Milan and Tuscany. I have exhibited my work in Italy, Belgium, Macedonia, Slovakia, and projected in Italy, India, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Serbia, and Bulgaria.
My art practice deals with documentary filmmaking, video art, and performance as tools to explore the concept of limit (of geography, of art, of perception...) as an opportunity to share meaningful examples of life and experiences around the world. My main focus is related to communities, minorities, and contrasts between unexpected border territories.InterestsHuman Interest Documentaries, Documentaries Exploring Culturally Specific Media, Experimental Film Art And Documentary
